We do fun stuff too!

It seems having a child makes you become more active - at least in our case. Suddenly there is the urge to make plans for the weekend. I suppose it has something to do with the fact that there is currently no time for entertainment for Lincoln and me - well, anything that goes beyond watching a movie half asleep. So we ventured out in the autumnal forests and had lots of fun. Even the dog.

Wow--those places are so pretty. It's 92 degrees here with no sign of autumn in sight. I'm very jealous.

Veronika looks like she's getting a lot bigger and a lot more expressive!

For us having a baby added to the activity level, and for me personally, becoming a stay-at-home father has really increased it. Since we live in a small apartment, I have to have large chunks of our day out and about. Thursdays are our museum days (I include zoos, aquariums, galleries, and other things in my loose definition). It has been great going to the museums that I used to spend much more time in. I think I have also spent more time on farms because of Amalia. It is a lot of fun.

Speaking of autumnal ventures, we are going to harvest acorns to make acorn polenta with. There are great books on foraging, and it is a great opportunity to teach science as well as cuisine.
