Even more unpopular
"But traditionalists, especially Christian traditionalists (in whose ranks I include myself) need to get a clue about what has really been going on and face the fact that same-sex marriage, if it comes about, will not cause the degeneration of the institution of marriage; it is the result of it."
My sentiments exactly. Thanks, Pansy for the link.

i feel it's a shame you think that gay marriage is the result of the degeneration of marriage.
well, it's my personal view, but religion (and yes, christianity) to me means love and tolerance. shouldn't we be happy if love is celebrated, if people try to make it last? to me, it doesn't matter of which sex anyone loving is. isn't love much better than hatred and frustration? i can't understand why ANYONE would have the right to tell gay couples they can't marry because somehow real couples should only consist of one man and one woman.
i don't think God would want us to interprete his words in a way that implies putting obstacles to, or even hindering love. but that's what i think. and feel.
