Brain cells melting...

1. If you don't happen to give birth around your due date, do you just keep being pregnant? Your skin expands, your belly keeps getting bigger, the baby grows and grows.. it all just goes on indefinitely? You know, you just have a child... on the inside?

2. Every time the phone rings I get a jolt thinking "The baby!"
I won't even try to explain this one.

P.S. The puzzle is done. Crap.

Yeah, it's the baby calling saying "Mommy, I'm ready, come get me..."

LOL

Dinka, I was 6 days "overdue" with Damian. Forget that he was my third and my body had worked perfectly fine (spontanious labor) with the first two; I was really starting to worry that it just didn't know what to do and I wouldn't go into labor. For whatever reason, my baby decided to wait until the right time for *him,* which was Memorial Day 2005. I went into labor during a violent thunderstorm, was able to get some sleep till the storm passed, and then delivered him just fine at the birth center. All that worry and agonizing for naught! But I tell you all this because I know how stressful this "late" stuff can be. Arg. (I didn't have ANY braxton hicks contractions during my 3rd pregnancy.) I hurt so much and was huge and couldn't really lie down to sleep (indigestion, squashed and smothered lungs...) It ALL disappeared the moment he was born! I swear, he was out, and suddenly I could breathe again. This too will happen to you in a few short moments. Let's hope it's hours. Does the weather forcast have a big storm headed your way? Maybe a drop in the barometric pressure will kick things into gear!

Best wishes to you and a speedy delivery for that baby! :)
