Look at that cake! (Flickr premiere)

This was Veronika's birthday cake. Cinderella all the way, including very obnoxious pink frosting. It's obvious this was my first try at food coloring (use very little, very very little!), but of course if you are a three-year-old girl, the pinker the better. Initially I had planned a different Cinderella scene but it was foiled by an incredibly rude and unprofessional ebay seller. So. What was my point? Ah, compliment me!

Did you just get in the kitchen and start creating, or did you read how to do this or take a class?

Tessa and I just played around with the icing bag (and tip). The food coloring I bought in the baking section at Michael's as well as the Cinderellas. I suppose I was doing stuff I'd seen somewhere else. I'd love to do a class though, because there is much more to it than I thought once I started playing with it...

I'd love to do a class though,

I think that would be fun too, although then I would have to make cake. If I made cake, then I'd have to eat it...

Peony does cake decorating; she makes cakes that look like baskets and stuff.
